Good for What?

Yeah, what is it good for?

Is that even a serious question?

Can one even ask such a question wrt Astrology?

Ok, I’m asking it.

Do I feel silly?

No.

Why am I asking it?

I want to know.

Why do I want to know?

I want to know, because I’m not using Astrology for money and I’m not using it for fame – so what is it doing in my life?

I can say that it found me. Yeah, I wasn’t even looking for it. It found me, grabbed me, and didn’t let go.

So, that’s where we stand.

I do teach it, subconsciously.

I mean, every Astrology interaction I have with someone who needs help has some kind of a teaching effect.

Oh, forgot, I help people with it.

Not everyone. Sometimes, one just doesn’t have the energy. Sometimes, one does. Then, one helps.

What is all this getting me?

Recognition?

No.

Kalyuga doesn’t care much for a background Astrologer who doesn’t blare his or her own trumpet. Didn’t want that kind of recognition anyways.

Satisfaction?

Yes.

Astrology adds more satisfaction to my life.

Eventually, one starts to see strands of Karma in the chart. One sees why, and why not. Karma dynamics gives one direction. It tells one where one stands in the scheme of things. All this is meaningful and satisfying.

Is that enough for me?

Yes, hmmm, no perhaps. In Germany, they’d say “jein“, as in ja + nein, as in a combination of yes and no. Yeah, my answer is jein.

What’s missing?

Oh, totally forgot, the writing part. I like writing, and I like Astrology, so I write about Astrology.

Writing about Astrology is a creation of goodness.

Writing helps.

Writing teaches. It teaches me too, because my thoughts get evened out, and understanding gets deeper. Writing is also a dialogue with oneself.

Anything else, Mr. Nath?

Well, I do fancy lecturing when I retire, but that’s some time away.

Nothing else.

Astrology is a great friend to have.
